Looking at the perspective from which he is discussing Finding the Time, Fraser Speirs notes:
When you’ve spent ninety hours on a two-character fix, there are two kinds of personality that come through. The first says “That was agonising and pointless”, the second says “That was great! What’s next?”.
I think this is an important concept. Day after day of agony and pointlessness at a day job can leave you mentally drained. Not everyone can easily come home and start something up in their free time. It’s hard. I’m glad that Speirs posted this piece; there have been numerous suggestions that you should be able to start something in the evenings and/or on the weekends. It’s just not for everyone.
